On the southern shore of Lake Necko, where the Netta River flows out, a municipal beach with a large wooden pier has been built. Augustów is a well-known holiday resort of the Augustów Lake District.
Lake Necko lies in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, in Augustów County, within and around Augustów. The pier along the shore is about 147 m long - sometimes cited as one of the longest in Poland.
