Pogoria III is one of four reservoirs of the Dąbrowa Lake District complex (Pogoria I-IV), created after the flooding of former sand quarry pits. The sandy beach and supervised bathing area on Pogoria III are a popular recreation spot for residents of Upper Silesia and the Zagłębie region.
The reservoir lies in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Silesian Voivodeship). Its area is about 2 km², circumference about 6 km, maximum depth about 17 m. Pogoria III is the newest and most popular of the complex's bodies of water among beachgoers.
