Lake Tarnobrzeg is the largest bathing area in the Subcarpathian region - a reservoir covering 455 hectares, created in the excavation of a former sulphur mine and filled with water by 2009. On its shore lies the longest beach in southern Poland (over 3 km).
A supervised bathing area divided into zones: a paddling area up to 0.4 m (white buoys, enclosed by a net), a zone for non-swimmers up to 1.2 m (red buoys) and a zone for swimmers up to 4 m (yellow buoys). The lake's maximum depth is 42 m.
The bathing season usually runs from the end of June; the bathing area sometimes opens earlier.
