Lake Firlej lies on the Lubartów Upland, about 40 km from Lublin, and covers roughly 91 ha with a maximum depth of about 9.6 m. The water is clear and the bottom is sandy. The beach is guarded by WOPR lifeguards, and the bathing area is run by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Firlej.
A paved walking and cycling path runs around the lake. The holiday resorts operate from May to September.
