The Rogalin Oaks: Lech, Czech and Rus

Three famous English oaks growing in the park surrounding the palace in Rogalin. They are one of the symbols of Greater Poland and part of Europe's largest cluster of ancient oaks in the Rogalin Meadows.

Location and surroundings

The oaks grow in the park by the 18th-century palace in Rogalin, a branch of the National Museum in Poznań. In the surrounding area (the Rogalin Meadows) grow around 1,400 oaks, more than 60% of which are protected as natural monuments.

Natural value

  • Girths: Lech approx. 6.33 m, Czech approx. 7.35 m (withered since 1992), Rus approx. 9.15 m
