The John Casimir Oak

A pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) in Bąkowo, the second-oldest Polish oak after the Chrobry Oak and the thickest and oldest tree in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Dimensions and age

  • Circumference: approx. 959 cm (at approx. 0.5 m height, 2015)
  • Height: approx. 15 m (trunk broken at approx. 8 m)
  • Age approx. 722 years (2016)

Protection

A natural monument since 1956. It grows in the group of the Bąkowo Oaks. Its health condition is poor.
