Maryna Poplar

A white poplar (Populus alba) in the municipality of Karczew near the village of Glinki, close to the Vistula. The second thickest known specimen of white poplar in Poland.

Dimensions and age

  • Single-trunk circumference: approx. 878 cm
  • Height: approx. 38 m (2021)
  • Age over 160 years

Protection

Natural monument since 29 June 1977. In 2021 comprehensive treatments were carried out (cable bracing).
