Ślęża

Ślęża (718 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Ślęża Massif and of the entire Sudeten Foreland, distinctive due to its considerable relative height (over 500 m).

Location and surroundings

The peak lies in the Sobótka municipality (Wrocław County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship). Despite its modest absolute height, the massif has an impressive appearance thanks to its prominent rise above the surroundings.

What to see / natural values

On the summit there is a concrete (steel-and-concrete) viewing tower, the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the PTTK Tourist House. Ślęża is a historic place of worship, with numerous cult sculptures in the vicinity.
