Cisowa Góra

Cisowa Góra (256 m above sea level), called the "Suwałki Fuji" because of its conical shape, is one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Suwałki Landscape Park.

Location and surroundings

The hill lies near the villages of Gulbieniszki and Szeszupka, in the Jeleniewo municipality (Suwałki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship), about 12 km north of Suwałki. It was formed from moraine material deposited by a glacier.

What to see / natural values

From the summit there is a panorama of the Szeszupa depression with lakes, meadows and hills, including a view of Lake Czarna Hańcza and Szelment Wielki, and in good visibility even Lithuania. On the summit stands a wooden cross commemorating the 1999 visit of John Paul II.
