Włocławek Reservoir (Lake Włocławek)

The Włocławek Reservoir is the largest artificial reservoir in Poland by area, created on the Vistula after the dam and power plant in Włocławek were built (operating since 1970).

Location and surroundings

The reservoir stretches about 58 km upstream, as far as Płock, lying on the border of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Masovian voivodeships. Its area is about 70.4 km², its average width about 1.2 km, and its capacity about 408 million m³.
