The Włocławek Reservoir is the largest artificial reservoir in Poland by area, created on the Vistula after the dam and power plant in Włocławek were built (operating since 1970).
The reservoir stretches about 58 km upstream, as far as Płock, lying on the border of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Masovian voivodeships. Its area is about 70.4 km², its average width about 1.2 km, and its capacity about 408 million m³.
For water tourists and visitors to the waterfronts of Włocławek and Płock.
The reservoir serves flood-control, energy and recreational functions.
Accessible year-round; the water infrastructure is used mainly during the summer season.
