Siemianówka Reservoir (Lake Siemianowskie)

The Siemianówka Reservoir is an artificial retention reservoir on the upper Narew, north of the Białowieża Forest. It was created between 1977 and 1990 after the construction of an earthen dam.

Location and surroundings

The reservoir lies in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, in the Michałowo and Narewka communes. At maximum level its area is about 32.5 km², its length about 11 km, its width 0.8-4.5 km, its average depth about 3.5 m and its capacity about 79.5 million m³.
