Wkra River (kayaking trail)

The Wkra is a right tributary of the Narew about 249 km long, with its source near Januszkowo. It is one of the most popular kayaking trails in Mazovia - at times somewhat troublesome, but very picturesque.

Character of the trail

The river flows through three nature reserves: Gołuska Kępa, Dziektarzewo and Dolina Wkry. It is suitable for both longer and shorter trips. The popular lower section runs from Joniec through Borkowo to Pomiechówek.

Nature

The Wkra valley is characterised by varied landscapes - forests, meadows and sandy escarpments.
