Poraj Lake (Poraj Reservoir)

Poraj Lake is a dam reservoir on the Warta river, created in 1978 to the south-west of Poraj by damming the river's waters. The maximum surface area is about 5.5 km2, the capacity up to about 25 million m3, the length 4.9 km and the shoreline about 15 km. The maximum depth reaches 13 m.

Tourism

A holiday resort was built by the reservoir; the body of water is picturesque, surrounded by holiday homes and attractive for anglers and water-sports enthusiasts. The Poraj Reservoir is one of the larger artificial reservoirs in Poland.
