Międzybrodzie Lake is a dam reservoir on the Soła river, created in 1937 after the construction of a dam in Porąbka. Its surface area is 3.8 km2 and its capacity 26.6 million m3. It is the second reservoir of the Soła cascade, located between Żywiec Lake and Czaniec Lake.
The 37 m high and 260 m long dam was designed by Prof. Gabriel Narutowicz. A hydroelectric power plant operates at the dam, forming a complex with the pumped-storage power plant on Mount Żar (launched in 1979).
The reservoir is surrounded by the Little Beskids and Mount Żar; popular among tourists, sailors and paragliding enthusiasts.
