The Nielisz Reservoir is an artificial lake on the upper Wieprz, created between 1994 and 1998, the largest reservoir of this type in the Lublin Voivodeship with a surface area of about 950 ha. It covers the areas of the villages of Nielisz, Nawóz, Kulików and Deszkowice. Its capacity is 15.7 million m3.
The reservoir's main function is flood protection; it also serves energy (hydroelectric power plant), breeding and recreational functions.
Available are a bathing area with a beach, a walking pier, sanitary facilities, a sailing marina, a 2 km rowing course and a water-equipment rental. Walking, cycling and horse-riding trails run around the reservoir.
Bathing area open in the summer season.
