The Wonieść Reservoir is an artificial retention reservoir in the area of Kościan and Leszno counties, created between 1974 and 1983 by raising the waters of the Samica river. It took the place of five natural lakes - Drzeczkowskie, Witosławskie, Wojnowickie, Jezierzyckie and Wonieskie.
The main purposes are storing water for agriculture, irrigating fish ponds and flood protection of the Kościan Canal valley.
The reservoir is a popular place for recreation and angling, praised for its clean water and scenic values (bathing areas, jetties, rentals). The surroundings are covered by the Natura 2000 special protection area for birds PLB300005 Zbiornik Wonieść.
