Słupia River (kayaking trail)

The Słupia kayaking trail is over 134 km long and offers around 7 days of leisurely paddling. The route begins at Lake Gowidlińskie and ends at the Baltic Sea in Ustka.

Character of the trail

The Słupia flows through the East and West Pomeranian Lake Districts, crossing the Kashubian and Bytów Uplands and the Polanów Plateau. The upper sections have a swift current, a stony bed and numerous fallen trees.

Attractions

In Słupsk you can see the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes, and along the river stand the Papal Stones commemorating the 1964 kayaking trip of Karol Wojtyła. The historic Gałąźnia Mała hydroelectric power plant operates along the trail.
