Biebrza River (kayaking trail)

The Biebrza is a river 165 km long, of which as much as 155 km lies within the Biebrza National Park. The navigable section is just over 130 km, and covering the entire trail takes about 7 days. The river is calm and safe - without rapids or fast currents, but with wide floodplains, meanders and wild corners.

Nature

The Biebrza is famous for its rich vegetation and the exceptional diversity of its birdlife. It is ideal for beginner kayakers and those seeking peace and quiet.

Required permits

Paddling requires holding entry passes to the Biebrza National Park. Camping is allowed only in designated places (including Kamienna Nowa, Goniądz, Osowiec). The season usually begins in early May.
