The Rospuda kayaking trail runs from Supienie to Augustów and is about 65 km long; the full route takes 4-6 days. The Rospuda is a swift and surprising river, flowing through eight lakes and crossing the Augustów Forest.
The upper course resembles stony, mountain sections, while the lower one is the calm, marshy Rospuda Valley, protected under Natura 2000, famous for its unique plant habitats (orchids) and abundant waterfowl.
Along the route lie the ruins of the Pac Palace in Dowspuda and a sanctuary.
Easier in summer; spring and autumn for the experienced.
