Łyna River (kayaking trail)

The Łyna is the largest river of the region and the eleventh longest in Poland (264 km). The kayaking trail is about 160 km long (130 km from near Olsztyn). The river is very varied - from a calm, gentle lowland river to a fast, almost mountain one, flowing over rocks in deep gorges.

Character of the trail

The Łyna has a mountain character especially on two gorges - between Lake Ustrych and the village of Ruś, and within the municipal forest in Olsztyn. Covering the entire route takes 6-8 days. Along the way you can visit Olsztyn, Dobre Miasto, Lidzbark Warmiński, Bartoszyce and Sępopol.
