Parsęta River (kayaking trail)

The Parsęta is a river of submontane character, despite its location in West Pomerania, flowing directly into the Baltic. Its total length is 139 km.

Character of the trail

The Karlino-Kołobrzeg section (about 45 km, 2 days) is the most demanding. Below Karlino the Parsęta reaches a width of up to 30 m and has a hard, in places stony bed; its width grows noticeably towards Kołobrzeg (40-60 m). In Karlino the Parsęta joins its largest tributary, the Radew.

Nature

The river is a paradise for anglers - the migratory sea trout dominates, and brown trout, salmon and grayling also occur.
