Rzeszów Reservoir (Zbiornik Rzeszowski)

The Rzeszów Reservoir is a flow-through reservoir on the Wisłok River in Rzeszów, created between 1971 and 1974 by damming the water with a weir featuring four movable gates. The reservoir now covers about 29 ha (originally around 68 ha), with a maximum depth of about 10 m.

Functions and nature

The reservoir serves a recreational function and is part of a Natura 2000 site, distinguished by its rich flora and fauna. It is a place of relaxation for the residents of Rzeszów, both in summer and in winter.
