Wielka Siklawa

Wielka Siklawa is the highest waterfall in Poland. The water of the Roztoka stream falls from a rock threshold about 65-70 metres high, in two to four streams depending on the water level, from a wall inclined at about 35 degrees. It is also the largest waterfall in the Tatras in terms of the volume of water flowing through it.

Location and surroundings

It is situated in the High Tatras, on the threshold separating the Valley of the Five Polish Lakes from the Roztoka Valley, within the Tatra National Park. On sunny days, rainbows appear in the spray.

What to see

The falling, broken water creates a spectacular cascade that is one of the most famous natural attractions of the Tatras.

Who is it for

For mountain hikers; reaching it requires a longer, partly steep hike along the trail.
