Siklawica

Siklawica is a waterfall on the Strążyski Stream, located in the upper part of the Strążyska Valley, at the foot of the north wall of Giewont in the Western Tatras. Its total height is about 24 m; it consists of two main, almost vertical steps (about 12 m each), between which there is a rock ledge with an evorsion pothole.

Location and surroundings

The site lies within the Tatra National Park. The water falls from two steep rock pillars inclined at about 80 degrees.

What to see

A two-step waterfall beneath the walls of Giewont, popular since the beginnings of Tatra tourism (already described in the 19th century).

Who is it for

For families and tourists - the walk from Strążyska Glade is relatively short.

  • Access via the yellow trail from Strążyska Glade (approx. 15 min to the waterfall).
  • The site lies within the Tatra National Park - an admission ticket is required.
