Waterfall on the Mosorny Stream

The waterfall on the Mosorny Stream is a natural waterfall 8 m high, described as one of the highest in the Beskids. The water falls from a vertical rock threshold built of layers of Carpathian flysch.

Location and surroundings

It is located in the Żywiec Beskids, on the north-western slopes of the Polica Range, within Zawoja. A marked trail runs above the waterfall, and the steep descent to the waterfall is protected with wooden railings.

What to see

A high, natural rock threshold with a striking cascade.

For mountain hikers walking from Zawoja.

Visiting

  • The blue trail from Zawoja Mosorne via Mosorna towards Kiczorek (the whole route approx. 2 hrs 25 min).
  • The steep descent is protected with railings.
