Wilczki Waterfall

The Wilczki Waterfall (German: Wölfelsfall) is the second highest waterfall in the Polish Sudetes. The water of the Wilczka River drops from a height of 22 m (historically given as 27 m before the 1997 flood, which washed away an artificial structure). Below the waterfall lies the Wilczki Gorge, about 200 m long and 10-18 m deep.

Location and surroundings

Situated in Międzygórze, in the Śnieżnik Massif (Eastern Sudetes). Since 1958 the area has been protected as a nature reserve (about 2.7 ha), preserving beech-fir forest and communities of mosses and liverworts on the rock walls.
