Cliff in Trzęsacz

The cliff in Trzęsacz is one of the most recognisable places on the Polish coast, owing to the remains of a Gothic church gradually swallowed by the sea. The cliff reaches a dozen or so metres in height and is subject to intense abrasion.

Location and surroundings

Trzęsacz lies in the Rewal municipality, Gryfice county (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). The church was originally built at a considerable distance from the shore, but the progressive erosion of the coast led to its destruction - today only a fragment of wall survives on the edge of the cliff.

What to see

The church ruin on the edge of the cliff, a viewing platform, and an exhibition devoted to the church's history and coastal abrasion.
