Cliff in Dziwnówek Nature Reserve

The Cliff in Dziwnówek nature reserve covers a section of sea coast with an area of 4.17 ha, established on 8 February 2017. It was one of the first two reserves in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship protecting sea-shore ecosystems.

Location and surroundings

The reserve lies in the Dziwnów municipality (Kamień county), a few hundred metres east of the buildings of Dziwnówek, along the beach. It encompasses dunes and forested areas from whose erosion the cliff was formed.

Natural features

The aim of protection is to preserve the natural abrasion processes shaping the sea-shore wall. On the site there are also historical military structures from the 1950s, gradually exposed by erosion.
