Cliff in Łukęcin Nature Reserve

The Cliff in Łukęcin nature reserve covers a narrow section of sea coast with an area of 1.91 ha, established on 8 February 2017 - together with the Cliff in Dziwnówek reserve, as the first sea-shore ecosystem reserves in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Location and surroundings

The reserve is located about 0.5 km north-east of Łukęcin and about 0.5 km west of the buildings of Pobierowo, along the beach (Dziwnów municipality, Kamień county). The height of the cliff is about 6.42 m above sea level, and the average angle of inclination of the wall is about 51 degrees.

Natural features

The aim of protection is to preserve the landscape of the sea-shore wall through protection of the natural abrasion processes. The cliff was formed as a result of the erosion of dunes and forested areas.
