Cliff in Jarosławiec

The cliff in Jarosławiec is the largest cliff on the central Polish coast - its length is about 2 km and its height reaches as much as 24 metres. At the beginning of the 20th century the sea shore here retreated inland by about 0.5 m per year.

Location and surroundings

Jarosławiec lies in the Postomino municipality, Sławno county (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). To limit abrasion, groynes and a protective concrete revetment were built; large boulders and concrete tetrapods have been placed along the cliff.
