The oldest existing botanical garden in Poland, founded in 1783, located in the centre of Kraków on Kopernika Street. It now covers an area of about 9.6 ha and presents several thousand species and varieties of plants from all over the world.
The garden is situated in the centre of Kraków, directly next to the university buildings. It is both a scientific and educational facility of the Jagiellonian University and a tourist attraction of the city.
Among the exhibits, the famous Jagiellonian Oak, over 230 years old, and the collections of biblical plants stand out. On the garden grounds there are historic greenhouses that can be visited with the ticket.
A place for families, nature lovers, tourists and students. People with a disability certificate enjoy free admission.

The garden is open to visitors in the summer season (from mid-April to mid-October). In the winter season it is accessible 9:00-16:00 as part of exhibitions. The greenhouses are closed on Mondays.
