The Garden of Medicinal Plants of the Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants in Plewiska near Poznań was established shortly after the Second World War on the initiative of Prof. Wacław Strażewicz, as the garden of the State Research Institute of Medicinal Plant Materials.
The garden is located in a historic 19th-century manor park covering approx. 3 ha (entered in the register of monuments, no. 1803/A in 1980). The present-day collection comprises more than 1,500 plant species, including a systematics section, an experimental section, greenhouses and a section of trees and shrubs.
The park is open daily from 9:00 until dusk; walking and cycling are permitted.
