The park-arboretum in Gołuchów is the largest botanical garden administered by the State Forests (Forest Culture Centre). It is one of the oldest and largest gardens established in the English style in the second half of the 19th century.
The park covers approx. 158 ha and encompasses about 3 km of the Ciemna river valley. Around 600 varieties and species of trees and shrubs grow here; an inventory from 2004 recorded about 80,000 trees, of which 262 have monumental dimensions. On the grounds there is a castle and the Museum of Forestry.
The park is visited by around 200,000 tourists per year.
