Palm House in Wałbrzych

The Palm House in Wałbrzych was created on the initiative of Jan Henryk XV Hochberg of Książ Castle, with Princess Daisy in mind. Its construction is dated to 1908–1911. The facility is located approx. 2 km from Książ Castle, in the Lubiechów district.

Collections

The palm house holds more than 250 species of exotic plants representing the flora of various climatic zones and continents - including bamboos and figs from Asia, eucalyptuses, cacti and agaves from Central America, and citrus plants. There is also a permanent Bonsai Exhibition here.

Hours and tickets

Open daily 10:00–16:30; standard ticket 19 PLN, reduced 15 PLN (combined tickets with Książ Castle available). The owner is the City of Wałbrzych, management is carried out by the Zamek Książ company.
