Municipal Palm House in Gliwice

The Municipal Palm House in Gliwice is located within the Fryderyk Chopin Park. Its origins date back to the end of the 19th century (the first greenhouses in the park around 1880), and the palm house itself was built in 1924; its heyday came in the 1920s and 1930s.

Collections

The facility, of modern construction, has a usable area of about 2,000 m² and five thematic pavilions: useful plants, exotic (tropical) plants, a historical pavilion, a succulent pavilion and a pavilion with aquariums. Besides plants, you can also see small animals - canaries, parrots, turtles and lizards.
