The oldest zoological garden in Poland and one of the largest, visited by about 1.8 million guests annually. It covers an area of about 32 hectares and presents over 12,000 animals representing more than 1,100 species.
The zoo is located in the eastern part of Wrocław, at ul. Wróblewskiego, next to the Centennial Hall. The grounds have a park-like character with historic pavilions.
The showpiece of the facility is the Afrykarium - the only oceanarium in Poland dedicated to the fauna of Africa, presenting the continent's aquatic ecosystems (including a tunnel with sharks and hippos). The zoo runs feeding shows, educational trails and a species protection programme.
A family attraction, for tourists of all ages and school groups.
Restaurants, shops and facilities for people with disabilities operate on the grounds.
Open all year, daily 9:00-19:00, last entry at 18:00.
