A municipal zoological garden opened on 12 April 2014, connected with the Botanical Garden of the University of Zielona Góra. In 2022-2023 the facility was expanded.
The Mini Zoo is located at 50a Botaniczna Street in Zielona Góra, with an entrance from Tatrzańska Street, next to the Botanical Garden.
The collection includes, among others, meerkats, fallow deer, miniature goats, Cameroon sheep, peacocks and parrots; after the expansion, lemurs, capuchins and North American porcupines were added. There is also a bird rehabilitation centre.
