Municipal Zoological Garden in Warsaw

One of the oldest and best-known zoological gardens in Poland, existing in its current form since 1928. It presents numerous animals from various systematic groups. The zoo's mission is based on five pillars: breeding, education, science, rehabilitation and recreation.

Location and surroundings

The zoo is located on the right bank of the Vistula, at 1/3 Ratuszowa Street in Praga-Północ, in the central part of Warsaw.

What's on offer / attractions

On the grounds stands the historic Żabiński Villa, associated with the heroic help given to Jews during the Second World War. The zoo runs programmes to protect endangered species, educational activities and animal rehabilitation.
