Mini ZOO in Konin

The Mini ZOO is located in the Fryderyk Chopin Municipal Park in Konin and covers about 2 hectares. Admission is free. It is a popular spot for family walks.

History

The mini-zoo was established in the 1970s (founded around 1974-1975) and took on its present form in the second half of the 1980s.

Animals

Among its residents you can see, among others, ostriches, fallow deer, Syrian goats, emus, donkeys, ponies, yaks, Vietnamese pigs, roe deer, dwarf goats, peacocks and pheasants. The Mini ZOO keeps a herd of Przewalski's horses - a critically endangered species - which is one of the larger herds of these horses in Poland.
