Połonina Wetlińska is an approximately 8 km long mountain ridge in the Bieszczady with several summits, stretching between the villages of Smerek and Brzegi Górne. One of the most scenic trails runs from Brzegi Górne through Chatka Puchatka and the Orłowicz Pass to Wetlina; hiking it takes about 4–5 hours over a length of around 8 km.
The trail runs across the famous treeless mountain meadows (połoniny) of the Bieszczady National Park, offering sweeping views. On the ridge stands the distinctive Chatka Puchatka mountain hut.
Połonina Wetlińska is among the most popular hiking destinations in the Bieszczady thanks to its panoramic views and treeless meadow landscape.
The route suits hikers of average fitness; in bad weather the meadows can be difficult due to the lack of shelter.
The trail is available year-round.
The trailheads (Brzegi Górne, Wyżniańska Pass, Ustrzyki Górne) can be reached by car (paid car parks) or by minibus from Wetlina.
