The Silesian Zoological Garden is located within Silesian Park in Chorzów. Founded in 1954, it is the third-largest zoological garden in Poland and a member of EAZA.
The garden covers an area of 47.5 hectares within Silesian Park.
It keeps 2,681 animals representing 312 species. A popular attraction is the "Dinosaur Valley" with concrete reconstructions of sixteen dinosaurs. The garden is visited by about 380,000 people a year.
An attraction for families with children and tourists visiting the Silesian metropolitan area.
