Main Sudetes Trail named after Mieczysław Orłowicz

The Main Sudetes Trail is the most important long-distance hiking trail in the Sudetes, marked in red, running from Świeradów-Zdrój to Prudnik. Its length is about 443 km, and the estimated walking time is around 120 hours.

Location and surroundings

The trail crosses almost the entire Polish Sudetes from west to east. It leads among others through the Karkonosze (the Kamieńczyk Waterfall, the pass below Śnieżka), the Rudawy Janowickie, the Owl Mountains (Wielka Sowa), the Table Mountains (Błędne Skały, Skalne Grzyby), the Śnieżnik Massif and the Opawskie Mountains.

What to see

Along the route lie Sudetes health resorts (Kudowa-Zdrój, Duszniki-Zdrój, Lądek-Zdrój), waterfalls, rock formations and mountain panoramas. In 2009 the trail was officially extended to Prudnik.
