Church of St. Paraskeva in Gorajec

The wooden church in Gorajec is among the oldest surviving wooden Orthodox churches in the Lubaczów district and in Poland, alongside the Church of St. Paraskeva in Radruż.

Gorajec lies in the Horyniec-Zdrój municipality, in the Lubaczów district, near the border with Ukraine.

History

The church was erected in 1586. It shows structural affinities with several surviving 16th-century churches on the Polish-Ukrainian borderland (including those in Potylicz and Wola Wysocka).
