Orthodox Church of St. Luke the Apostle in Kunkowa

A wooden Orthodox church in Kunkowa, formerly Greek Catholic, built in the second half of the 19th century (around 1868), incorporating elements of an older temple from around 1771. It belongs to the Gorlice deanery of the Przemysl-Gorlice diocese of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church.

Architecture

A church of the Western Lemko type, oriented, tripartite, shingle-roofed, of log construction. The iconostasis dates from 1904-05 and is the work of Jan Jakubowski, while the icons from the 17th century come from Muszyna workshops.
