The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Consolation, one of the main centres of Marian devotion in the Subcarpathia region, famous for its historic organ.

The monastic complex is located in Leżajsk, surrounded by 17th-century fortifications, courtyards and gardens.

History

The church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was erected between 1618 and 1628; the monastery and fortifications date from the 17th century. The basilica is famous for its monumental organ and the miraculous image of Our Lady of Consolation.
