One of the oldest churches in Lublin, a former sanctuary of the relic of the Wood of the Holy Cross, holding the title of minor basilica.
Located in the Old Town of Lublin, on Złota Street.
The Dominican church and monastery are among the oldest and longest-standing institutions of the city (in 2003 its 750th anniversary was celebrated). Since 1967 the church has held the title of minor basilica. From the end of the 14th century a great relic of the Holy Cross was kept here (stolen in 1991). Polish kings made pilgrimages to the relic.
The basilica with numerous chapels, including the Tyszkiewicz Chapel, and the monastery complex.
