An Orthodox men's monastery (a former Basilian complex), one of the most important centers of Orthodoxy in Poland, with the Museum of Icons.

Location and surroundings

Located in Supraśl, in the Knyszyn Forest, in Podlasie.

History

The origins of the monastery date back to the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. The monastery complex belonged to the Basilians and is now an active Orthodox men's monastery. The Museum of Icons operates within it.

  • Museum of Icons: Tue-Sun 10:00-17:00; regular ticket 20 PLN, reduced 10 PLN; Thursdays free
