Discalced Carmelites' Monastery in Czerna

The Discalced Carmelites' monastery complex in Czerna, founded in 1629 by Agnieszka Firlejowa née Tęczyńska. It is the only complex of this rank in Poland connected with the Discalced Carmelites - a former 17th-century hermitage.

Cult and monuments

A double sanctuary: of Our Lady of the Scapular and of St Raphael Kalinowski. The early-Baroque church of St Elijah (1631-1640) made of black Dębnik marble, a little bridge (the "Devil's Bridge"), monastery buildings on a 70x70 m plan, a well hewn into the rock, and the Pilgrim's House with a museum.
