The Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Bartholomew together with the Piekary Calvary - the largest Marian sanctuary in Silesia. The origins of the devotion date back to the 17th century, when Fr. Jakub Roczkowski moved a renovated image of the Mother of God to the main altar.
The sanctuary gathers hundreds of thousands of pilgrims during the state pilgrimages of men (end of May) and women (mid-August). The miraculous image of Our Lady of Piekary is venerated here.
The sanctuary is open year-round; state pilgrimages in May and August.
