Pakość Calvary

The Sanctuary of the Crucified Lord Jesus with a complex of calvary chapels, known as the "Kuyavian Jerusalem". Founded in 1628 - the second such calvary in the Polish lands (after the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska). It has been cared for by the Franciscans since 1631 (at the monastery of St. Bonaventure).

The Calvary and relics

The complex comprises Passion chapels arranged topographically in the manner of Jerusalem. In 1671 relics of the Holy Cross were brought here. In 2018 the Archbishop of Gniezno established the site as the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of the Passion of the Lord.
